Rolling Stone hosted 500 music industry insiders, influencers and a select group of fans at a raw industrial space in Brooklyn, as singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes headlined a special event presented by YouTube Music. Mendes, who has scored seven consecutive Platinum or Multi-Platinum singles (soon to be eight with “In My Blood”), performed live and participated in an intimate chat moderated by Rolling Stone staff writer Brittany Spanos. As part of Rolling Stone’s first live event under their relaunch initiative, the concert was filmed for the Emmy-nominated series Live From The Artists Den.

The co-branded event kicks off a year-long partnership between YouTube Music and Rolling Stone, which will include exclusive integrated and immersive digital content, and various experiential consumer and artist experiences.

Meghan Trainor, kicking off the Citi Summer Concert Series in front of a cheering audience that packed the TODAY plaza. Crowned by a lovely pastel pink head of hair, Trainor got everybody grooving with songs like her 2014 hit “All About That Bass,” plus “No Excuses,” “Let You Be Right” and “Like I’m Gonna Lose You.” Trainor has been keeping busy lately: Not only has she been working on her third album, she’s also been appearing on Fox’s singing competition “The Four” as a judge. Visiting TODAY, she pointed out her fiancé, “Spy Kids” actor Daryl Sabara on the plaza, noting, “I’m so in love.” While they haven’t set a date for the wedding, she added, “I’m locking it down.”

Get Wild! Summer Benefit – Presented By The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center

The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center of the Hamptons celebrated their 12^thAnnual GET WILD! Summer Gala at Joan and Bernard Carl’s Little Orchard Gardenon Coopers Neck Lane in Southampton. The event honored Jay Schneiderman, Southampton Town Supervisor and Susan McGraw Keber, East Hampton Town Trustee, and welcomed distinguished guests to celebrate the united efforts to rehabilitate animals and successfully release them back into the wild across Long Island.

The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center, Eastern Long Island’s only wildlife hospital, is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the rehabilitation of wild animals impacted by encroachment of humans on their habitat. It is a grass roots organization that grew from a few concerned friends to a group of over 3,000 members and supporters. The center is a full-time professional wildlife hospital staffed by licensed rehabilitators, biologists, animal behaviorists and volunteers. Over 300 people have been trained to assist in wildlife rescues. The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center is located on Munn’s Pond Park through a cooperative licensing agreement with Suffolk County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation. The center is situated on a greenbelt of public land parcels totaling several thousand acres and stretches from Tiana Bay to Peconic Bay located on the eastern end of Long Island, NY. This is a unique and irreplaceable ecosystem consisting of salt and fresh water wetlands, Pine Barrens, deciduous forest and meadowland. Thus, it is the perfect setting for a wildlife rehabilitation center. The hospital is designed exclusively for wild animals. Unlike a veterinary hospital, there are no ambient noises or smells to stress the wildlife that are recovering within. The Wildlife Rescue Center receives more than 10,000 calls each year for information or assistance involving wild animal encounters. The center also provides educational programs to local elementary and secondary schools. Students from local colleges participate in cooperative education programs and internships. The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center annual operating budget exceeds $650,000, almost all of which comes from generous donors.    WildlifeRescueCenter.org

LG Audio Presents – There’s More To Sound Than Sound

LG and AFROPUNK kicked off the collaboration with artist Twin Shadow to create an experiential installation at the iconic National Sawdust venue in Brooklyn. The June 21 installation featured an oversized version of the motorcycle helmet from Twin Shadow’s caer album cover outfitted with LG’s PK Series speakers.
