Private launch event of the Australian jewelry brand, ūberkate, at the exclusive The Back Room lounge – 102 Norfolk Street.
The Back Room is one of only two authentic speakeasies that operated during Prohibition and is a timeless example of the underbelly of New York past. The Back Room was also frequented by famous actors of “The Roaring Twenties”, as well as famous gangsters of the era including: Bugsy Siegel, Lucky Luciano and Meyer Lansky.
“The reason why we chose this space to host our launch event is because the 20’s was also the era of the start of female empowerment. Women began to embrace their independence by cutting their hair in stylish short bobs, voting, and most visually expressing their independence by proudly wearing their chosen cocktail rings every day as a symbol of their strength.”
